About Us [much more]

The Tallahassee Coin Club (officially registered as the Tallahassee Numismatic Club - TNC for short) is the largest coin club within the entire north Florida / south Georgia geographical region. To our knowledge, the nearest comparable clubs are as far away as Albany, Warner Robins and Byron, GA (north), Jacksonville (east), Ocala (south) and Panama City (west). We meet on the second Wednesday of each month, 6pm - 8pm, at the Tallahassee Senior Center, 1400 North Monroe on the ground floor. Beginners, as well as seasoned and astute collectors and dealers, attend each month to discuss numismatic-related pursuits - coins, paper money, tokens, exonumia, and sound money legislation. During our meetings, we buy, sell, trade, auction and share numismatic material and education between ourselves to further our enjoyment of the hobby.

Originally called the Capital City Coin Club (organized in 1968), the current iteration of the club is always seeking new members. You are invited to attend any meeting at no cost to determine whether we are a good fit for you. Thereafter, annual dues are only $15 per family, payable in January. (NOTE: dues will likely increase to $25 Jan 2026.)

Tallahassee Coin Club is a member of the ANA and FUN, and currently offers a couple of two-day coin shows per year, in mid March and late July. Our Constitution and Bylaws provide full guidance on operations for the Tallahassee Coin Club. TNC does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, gender expression, political affiliation, age, national origin, or disability.

Next Meeting [archives]

March 11, 2026: 6-8pm
Tallahassee Senior Center, 1400 N. Monroe

It's been a few months since we focused on something besides U.S. coins, so let's open up today's meeting to WORLD COINS AND CURRENCY! AN interesting topic to discuss is coins from countries or nations that no longer exist. If you have such pieces in your collection, by all means, tell us about what you have.

I will bring along a stash of Notgeld that's been in a binder since I picked up a few small auction lots many years ago at a "farmer's auction" in rural Illinois.
